Local residents will have the chance to feedback on the services and support provided by community pharmacies by taking part in a consultation which launches today.
The consultation will be asking for people’s views on a draft Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment 2018-2021 report containing the results of a survey of community pharmacies which took place earlier this year.
As part of this process, Wirral’s Health & Wellbeing Board are required to conduct a formal consultation period on the draft Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment with the aim of encouraging feedback on the content from a wide range of individuals, organisations and professional bodies.
Cllr Chris Jones, Wirral’s Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care & Health said: ‘Over 2000 people responded to the first phase of the survey, which is a fantastic result and demonstrates how important pharmacies are to the local community. The second phase of the consultation will allow people to look at the draft assessment and comment on it up until midday on February 5th, 2018.’
The survey opens on Tuesday 5th December 2018 and the deadline to submit responses is midday on Monday 5th February 2018.
